... what makes Calvary Hill a wonderful place to serve is the great sense of God's presence in the midst of our common life together. God never disappoints, and He is always at work in the life of his people. At Calvary Hill we sense this deep truth in all facets of the life of the church, whether it is a choir member preparing to sing for Sunday worship, a hospitality server preparing a meal for a Wednesday night dinner and bible study, or a missions worker organizing ministry in a local nursing home, we believe God is in the midst of all that is taking place.

 

God's presence in our midst always leads God's people to act.

In Worship CHBC celebrates through traditional and contemporary forms through the:

• Church Choir
• Festival Choir
• Chorale Ensemble
• Celebration Band

In Discipleship CHBC has:

• Wednesday Night Bible Study
• Sunday School for all ages
• Mission Kids
• Men's Bible Study
• Women's Fellowship & Retreats
• Sunday Forum
• Youth Retreats

In Missions CHBC has:

• helped build and support a large Baptist church in Moscow, Russia
• operated the only walk-in food and clothing closets in our district of Fairfax County
• sponsored religious educational programs through Life-Long Learning at Northern Virginia Community College
• participated in Hurricane relief projects in the Gulf states.

Today, CHBC continues to reach out through activities:

• in local nursing homes and retirement communities
• summer youth missions programs that assist the poor
• ministering to adults with Down Syndrome and mental and physical disabilities residing at Northern Virginia Training Center
• providing sandwiches for the Lamb Center
